Tella graduated with her Doctorate of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in the fall of 2021, after completing her 4-year training through CITCM in Calgary. She has completed over 1400 clinic hours in her school, as well as volunteered at the Drop In and Alex centres a couple days a week throughout her studies.
Tella is trained and proficient in Orthopedic Massage Therapy, Reflexology, Guasha (also known as Graston-Scraping technique), Acupuncture, Cosmetic (facial) Acupuncture, herbal recommendations, hydrojelly masks and Cupping. Tella believes in the benefits of Acupuncture, guasha and cupping, and has experienced its effectiveness in the treatment for reducing stress, pain, insomnia, gynecology, digestive issues and much more. She finds her passion is in women’s health, but also has increased interest in pediatrics, likely due to her two step children. Gaining the trust of little people has enhanced her needling technique to be as gentle as possible.
Working alongside chiropractors as well as physiotherapists is where Tella feels she will be most successful. Sometimes health is a team effort, and having different modalities at a clinic is imperative to getting you back on track to optimal health.
